CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp surfaces on the front seat with adjuster frame could cause injuries to your hands.


1. INSTALL SEAT WIRE

  1. Install the 3 wire harness clamps and connector clamp.

  1. Connect the 4 connectors.



2. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU

  1. Engage the claw and install the occupant classification ECU.

  1. Connect the 2 connectors.



3. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER OUTSIDE COVER LH

  1. Install the reclining adjuster outside cover with the screw.



4. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER OUTSIDE COVER RH

HINT:
Follow the same procedures as for the reclining adjuster outside cover LH.


5. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

  1. Engage the claw and install the reclining adjuster inside cover.

  1. Tighten the screw.



6. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

HINT:
Follow the same procedures as for the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.


7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

  1. Using hog ring pliers, install the front seat cushion cover with new hog rings.

    NOTICE:
    1. Do not soil or scratch the front seat cushion cover.
    2. When installing the hog rings, minimize wrinkles as far as possible.

  1. Engage the 3 hooks and 2 claws, and install the front seat cushion pad together with the front seat cushion cover.

  1. Using hog ring pliers, install new hog rings.

  1. Hook the front seat cushion cover to the front seat frame adjuster.



8. INSTALL LOWER ACTIVE HEADREST UNIT

  1. Install the lower active headrest unit with the 2 nuts.

    Torque:
    5.0 N*m{ 51 kgf*cm , 44 in.*lbf }


9. INSTALL UPPER ACTIVE HEADREST UNIT

  1. Connect the lower active headrest unit cable.

  1. Install the upper active headrest with the 5 nuts.

    Torque:
    Nut A:
    5.0 N*m{ 51 kgf*cm , 44 in.*lbf }

    Torque:
    Nut B:
    14 N*m{ 142 kgf*cm , 10 ft.*lbf }


10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT BACK COVER

  1. Install the front seat back pad onto the front seat frame adjuster.

  1. Using hog ring pliers, install the front seat back cover with new hog rings.

    NOTICE:
    1. Do not soil or scratch the front seat back cover.
    2. When installing the hog rings, minimize wrinkles as far as possible.

  1. Attach straps and tighten the nut.

    Torque:
    5.5 N*m{ 55 kgf*cm , 49 in.*lbf }

    CAUTION:
    1. For vehicles with side air bag, the front seat back cover must be securely installed. Otherwise, the side air bag may not deploy properly.
    2. Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the inner hook.
    3. Install the inner hook securely.

  1. Roll the front seat back cover down and install the 2 wires.

  1. Using hog ring pliers, install new hog rings.



11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

  1. Engage the 2 claws and install the front seat headrest support.

    HINT:
    Follow the same procedures as for the opposite side.

  1. Using hog ring pliers, install the new hog rings.

  1. Install the wire harness clamp and connector clamp.



12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

  1. Engage the 2 claws and clip, and install the front seat cushion shield.

  1. Tighten the screw.



13. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE

  1. Engage the claw and install the reclining adjuster release handle.



14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD

  1. Engage the claw and clip, and install the front seat cushion inner shield.

  1. Tighten the screw.



15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY

  1. Install the front seat inner belt with the nut.

    Torque:
    42 N*m{ 428 kgf*cm , 31 ft.*lbf }

    NOTICE:
    Be careful not to place the front seat inner belt over the convex areas of the front seat with adjuster frame.

  1. Check that the front seat inner belt rotates smoothly.

  1. Install the wire harness clamp and connector clamp.

  1. Connect the seat wire No. 1 connector.



16. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

  1. Disengage the lock button of the front seat headrest support and install the front seat headrest.
