1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION


2. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL PIN

  1. Install the 4 No. 1 instrument panel pins with the 4 screws <D>.



3. INSTALL ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Engage the 4 claws and install the Radio antenna cord.



4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL CENTER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Install the instrument panel center bracket sub-assembly with the screw <D>.



5. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

  1. Install the instrument panel register with the 4 screws <D> with the fins closed.



6. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


7. INSTALL DOOR CONTROL RECEIVER

  1. Install the door control receiver with the 2 screws <D>.



8. INSTALL 4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU

  1. Install the four wheel drive control ECU with the 2 screws <D>.

    Torque:
    1.2 N*m{ 12 kgf*cm , 11 in.*lbf }


9. INSTALL DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY WITH NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

  1. Install the defroster nozzle with No. 2 heater to register duct with the 5 screws <D>.



10. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  1. Install the instrument panel sub-assembly with passenger airbag assembly with the 8 bolts and nut.

    Torque:
    20 N*m{ 205 kgf*cm , 15 ft.*lbf } for bolt <C>

  1. Engage the 5 clamps and connect the 4 connectors.

  1. Remove the protective tape from the steering column cover upper and steering wheel sub-assembly.



11. CONNECT PASSENGER AIRBAG CONNECTOR


12. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH

  1. Engage the 3 claws and install the instrument side RH.



13. INSTALL INSTRUMENT LOWER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Connect the connectors.

  1. Engage the 5 clips and install the instrument lower cover.

  1. Install the bolt <B>.



14. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL LH

  1. Install the lower instrument panel LH with the 3 bolts <B>.



15. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

  1. Engage the 2 clips and install the instrument panel lower finish panel sub-assembly RH.

  1. Install the bolt <B>.



16. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

  1. Pull the bottom of the stopper.

  1. Attach the stopper to the glove compartment door as shown in the illustration.

  1. Install the glove compartment door assembly with 3 hinges, holding it horizontal.

  1. Slightly deform the upper part of the glove compartment door assembly, and install the glove compartment door assembly.



17. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CENTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Engage the 10 clips and install the instrument cluster center finish panel sub-assembly.



18. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

  1. Connect the 2 connectors.

  1. Install the combination meter assembly with the 4 screws <E>.

    Torque:
    1.7 N*m{ 17 kgf*cm , 15 in.*lbf }


19. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Connect the connectors.

  1. Engage the 6 clips and install the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

  1. Install the 2 clips.



20. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

  1. Connect the connectors.

  1. Engage the 3 clips and install the lower NO. 1 instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly.

  1. Install the 2 bolts <B>.



21. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly.

  1. Engage the 2 claws and install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.



22. INSTALL RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (w/ Navigation System)

  1. Connect all the connectors.

  1. Engage the 5 clips and install the radio and display receiver assembly with bracket.

  1. Install the 4 bolts.

    Torque:
    7.0 N*m{ 71 kgf*cm , 62 in.*lbf }


23. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (w/o Navigation System)

  1. Connect all the connectors.

  1. Connect the plug.

  1. Engage the 5 clips and install the radio receiver assembly with bracket.

  1. Install the 4 bolts.

    Torque:
    7.0 N*m{ 71 kgf*cm , 62 in.*lbf }


24. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY

  1. Connect the 2 connectors.

  1. Engage the 4 clips and install the air conditioning control assembly.



25. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE BOX (for Manual Transmission on Bench Seat Type)

  1. Engage the 2 clips and claw, and install the front console box.

  1. Install the clip and 2 bolts <A>.

  1. Install the 2 instrument panel cup holders.

  1. Install the box bottom mat.

  1. Install the shift knob.



26. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE BOX (for Automatic Transmission on Bench Seat Type)

  1. Engage the 2 clips and claw, and install the front console box.

  1. Install the clip and 2 bolts <A>.

  1. Install the 2 instrument panel cup holders.

  1. Install the box bottom mat.

  1. Install the shift knob.



27. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE BOX (for Manual Transmission on Separate Seat Type)

  1. Engage the 2 clips and claw, and install the front console box.

  1. Install the 2 screws <F>.

  1. Install the shift knob.



28. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE BOX (for Automatic Transmission on Separate Seat Type)

  1. Engage the 2 clips and claw, and install the front console box.

  1. Install the 2 screws <F>.



29. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL CUP HOLDER TRAY (for Automatic Transmission on Separate Seat Type)

  1. Engage the 2 clips and 4 claws, and install the instrument panel cup holder tray.

  1. Install the 2 instrument panel cup holders.



30. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (for Separate Seat Type)

  1. Engage the 4 claws and install the console box rear.

  1. Install the 2 screws <F> and 2 bolts <B>.

  1. Install the console box carpet.



31. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission on Separate Seat Type)

  1. Engage the 4 clips and claw, and install the console upper panel sub-assembly.



32. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transmission on Separate Seat Type)

  1. Engage the 6 clips and claw, and install the console upper rear panel.

  1. Install the shift knob.



33. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL HOLE COVER (for Lever Type Parking Brake)

  1. Engage the 4 clips and install the instrument panel hole cover.



34. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER TRAY (for Pedal Type Parking Brake)

  1. Engage the 4 clips and 2 claws, and install the instrument panel under tray.



35. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH (for Regular Cab)

  1. for LH Side:

    1. Install the 3 wire harness clamps.

  1. Engage the claw and clip, and install the front pillar garnish.

  1. Tighten the 2 screws.

  1. Engage the 2 claws and install the assist grip plug.



36. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH (for Access Cab)

  1. for LH Side:

    1. Install the 3 wire harness clamps.

  1. Engage the claw and clip, and install the front pillar garnish and assist grip.

  1. Tighten the 2 screws.

  1. Engage the 2 claws and install the assist grip plug.

    HINT:
    Follow the same procedures as for the opposite side.


37. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH (for Double Cab)

  1. Install the 3 wire harness clamps (LH side only).

  1. Engage the claw and clip, and install the front pillar garnish.

  1. Tighten the 2 screws.

  1. Engage the 2 claws and install the assist grip plug.

    HINT:
    Follow the same procedures as for the opposite side.


38. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH (for Regular Cab)

HINT:
Follow the same procedures as for the front pillar garnish LH.


39. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH (for Access Cab)

HINT:
Follow the same procedures as for the front pillar garnish LH.


40. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH (for Double Cab)

HINT:
Follow the same procedures as for the front pillar garnish LH.


41. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  1. Engage the 2 clips and install the cowl side trim board.

  1. Install the clip.



44. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH (for Access Cab)

  1. Engage the 2 clips and install the cowl side trim board.

  1. Install the clip.



45. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH (for Double Cab)

  1. Engage the 2 clips and install the cowl side trim board.

  1. Install the clip.



46. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH (for Regular Cab)

HINT:
Follow the same procedures as for the cowl side trim board LH.


47. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH (for Access Cab)

HINT:
Follow the same procedures as for the cowl side trim board LH.


48. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH (for Double Cab)

HINT:
Follow the same procedures as for the cowl side trim board LH.


49. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for Regular Cab)

  1. Engage the 8 claws and clip, and install the front door scuff plate.



50. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for Access Cab)

  1. Engage the 9 claws and clip, and install the front door scuff plate.



51. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for Double Cab)

  1. Engage the 9 claws and install the front door scuff plate.



52. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for Regular Cab)

HINT:
Follow the same procedures as for the front door scuff plate LH.


53. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for Access Cab)

HINT:
Follow the same procedures as for the front door scuff plate LH.


54. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for Double Cab)

HINT:
Follow the same procedures as for the front door scuff plate LH.


55. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR FOOTREST

  1. Engage the 2 clips and install the front floor footrest.



56. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque:
5.4 N*m{ 55 kgf*cm , 48 in.*lbf }


57. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
