DESCRIPTION

The torque sensor converts the rotation torque input from the steering wheel into electric signals and sends them to the power steering ECU assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
If the power steering ECU assembly or steering column assembly has been replaced, perform the torque sensor zero point calibration and assist map writing (Click here).
1.CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION
  1. Check the installation condition of the torque sensor connector.

    OK:
    Torque sensor connector is securely connected to the power steering ECU assembly.

  1. Start the engine.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    HINT:
    *1: TRQV was measured in the previous step.
